For this improvement idea I've set timer for 30 minutes. Here's the result.. 1) Automatically stack Timers OnTop/Sides when opening several instances 2) Ability of creating Timers/Stopwatch presets as OSD (On Screen Display) 3) Ability of...

have a warning alarm that would go off about two minutes before the time runs out. I tend to get lost in the work and lose track of time. A warning alarm would alert me to finish my thought so I can make the phone call or meeting.

Response from the site administrator

We'll do that

Sound needs to play longer, with volume options, and possibly a 'snooze' option to extend the time a bit to finish a task. (I find this very useful in the iphone alarm, which is not a bad model actually.).)

We'll do that

Please add hotkeys for control of the timers from within other applications. Should be able to control this entirely from the keyboard.

Scientific, 23.07.2011
GTD Timer is completely controlled from keyboard but not from other apps - see help file for details.
We'll consider how to implement this - it's not so simple because you can run multiple copies of the software

Add 3 buttons to the Set time form ( i.e. +1 hour +1 minute and +1 second) so that each click on the relevant button increments the time (similar to that seen on microwave ovens).

Although the timer dovetails nicely into the Pomodoro system, it really needs to integrate into a time tracking program or have its own ability to RECORD the time spent on any specific task

You should have only 1 icon to choose from

Instead of having 5 separate timers, create one program with a tab or selection box to choose which timer you want - This will make it easier to put the product on the desktop with one icon.

permit a series of timer events. For example, work for 30 mins, rest for 5 - repeat 4 times.

Include the ability to create a screensaver with a configurable countdown

This would be great for up and coming events where you could have a countdown to the event and the image with your web address and message etc on.

Allow for multiple countdown windows.

There are different activities that I might want to count down. Being able to run multiple counting windows would be a good option.

have a zoom feature for presentation use, with a modifiable banner; e.g. 'Class starts in - '. The zoom would move to center screen at a presentation appropriate size.

Proper GUI page. Not seeing ability to set multiple tasks that may overlap. Intermittent warnings would be good so that you can check your pace.

A timer for nearly $30, come on, this needs to be reduced to around $10 - I'd consider buying it then

Include a facility to record the running time of all programs you use in any particular day. This could be further incorporated into a time management software

Speed up installation - for such a simple product it took several minutes to install - Also reduce the impact on the registy as well, there were countless entries to the registry.

Response from the site administrator
Scientific, 23.07.2011
It installs in a seconds on a modern PC. And also it doesn't write to registry much. Can you send details about registry entries to support e-mail?
